Finding a perfect wedding gift that you want to gift to your friend or relative can be time consuming and stressful. You want that the gift will be useful to them. Cash or check can be an easy solution, but it will not give any sentimental value nor it is not a unique wedding gift idea because many people would give cash as well.
One unique wedding gift idea could be a jewelry roll. This is actually a jewelry box in share of roll to make it easier to carry them around. Most couples will go to honeymoon after the weeding and probably they will bring their other jewelries with them. Just to realize that during the honeymoon they need to remove them because of beach activities for example. This jewelry roll could became a handy place to put their jewelries.
Another unique wedding gift idea could be stock in a frame. Yes, it is real paper stock that is issued in trading markets. The company is also real like Adobe, American Airlines, Best Buy, etc. This stock is put in frame and could be the alternative for wedding gift. Aside from its unique design, the value itself increases overtime. In future, this stock can be sold as well.
If you want to give something more personal then, a custom made ceramic or platter with the pictures of the couples and friend/relatives might be a solution. These could be a unique wedding gift ideas and it gives memories of the time that you spent together before. However, the model of ceramic or platter that you would do the custom made might not the design that the couple like.

The Knot Ultimate Wedding Planner: Worksheets, Checklists, Etiquette, Calendars, and Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
This practical companion to The Knot Complete Guide to Weddings in the Real World acts as a stand-alone guide to the nuts and bolts of planning a wedding. The Knot Ultimate Wedding Planner is where the bride and groom can record wedding ideas, create budget guidelines, check items off their to-do list, generate the guest list, store contact information for their wedding vendors, and get tips and advice on the best way to plan their big day.
Chapter by chapter, the planner walks the bridal couple through each major step: for example, choosing the reception site, picking a photographer, and deciding on a menu. Author Carley Roney and the editors of The Knot Web site have talked with both wedding professionals and hundreds of thousands of brides and grooms, and have a good idea of the necessary ingredients for a successful wedding. Most helpful and thorough are each chapter's "Questions to Ask" checklists and the "Knot Knowledge" tips, which include money-saving ideas. The book also contains a gift log, a budget tracker, and a wedding-day phone contacts sheet.
Roney offers loads of helpful advice, such as recommending that the bride and groom declare "wedding free zones" where the couple makes time for activities together that have nothing to do with planning the wedding. Each chapter also includes her down-to-earth answers to commonly asked questions, such as whether it's appropriate for a relative to host a shower or if the wedding couple should pay for guests' travel expenses. With all of its tips, advice, and organizers, The Knot Ultimate Wedding Planner may just be, next to a wedding coordinator, the best way for modern couples to ensure their wedding is a smoothly run, stress-free affair. --Kris Law

PLANNING FOR THE PERFECT ROMANTIC HONEYMOON
Making arrangements for a wedding is sufficiently nerve racking. While making arrangements for a honeymoon is supposed to be a delight. So long as both the bride and groom are of the same mind about the location and the happenings, this fraction of the new life journey should be a snap to plan. Making plans for the ideal romantic honeymoon should take an account of things that are pleasing to both.
In general, a pleasant and romantic honeymoon can take place anyplace where the honeymooners can get some valuable time together with a lot of time and space alone. Very few people want a lot of others all over for the duration of their exceptional unique trip together. The holiday, whether it is for a weekend or a complete month, is intended to help out both of you to ease in to married life and make long lasting recollections. It is supposed to be enjoyable, comforting and romantic.
Prior to setting up a trip, it is a good thought for both the groom and the bride to sit down and talk about alternatives. Be sure to select a place jointly - one that is really pleasing to both. Even though it is expected that a lot of time will be spent in the room, attempting to go out should be an enjoyable decision that presents lots of romantic potentials, too.
Here are some guidelines on places to go:
* Beach destinations. For many, there are a few things more romantic such as gazing at a sunset on a perfect beach while sipping on drinks with little paper straws and looking at palm trees sway in a warm breeze. If this is pleasing, then places such as Hawaii, South Carolina, California, Florida, and even the islands of the Caribbean and some European destinations and so on are all good choices. They all present their own unique appeal and other potentials for romance and exciting activity.
* Europe. If staying in a historic city maybe surrounded by the walls of a romantic, medieval fortress seems like a dream come true, then countries such as Germany, England, Scotland and Ireland might be thought about. Tourism possibilities are hard to believe in any of the destinations and lodging can really be as expensive or as standard as a couple's budget asks for.
* Mountains. There are few places more romantic than isolated mountain chalets. Getting back to nature presents some hard to believe sights, which turns out to be very romantic and the seclusion cannot be beat. Places to think about for this type of trip comprise of anyplace in the Rockies, the Smokey Mountains, New York, Pennsylvania, Canada and Europe. Again lodging can comprise of expensive chalets or more rural log cabins and maybe even tent camping. No matter what, anything both the groom and the bride consider goes.
* Ocean cruises. When it comes to gorgeous sights and chic dealings, cruises are inevitable. With lots to do and see, there is ample to please you outside of that stateroom.
It is immaterial what you do or where you go on your honeymoon, just keep in mind that the tour is for both the bride and groom. It is a time to kick back, loosen up and get to be acquainted with each other even better before the day-to-day routine of married life sets in. Just make sure that the trip is pleasing to you both - make it enjoyable and unwind. It is the bits and pieces that lifetime recollections are made of.
A romantic honeymoon can be economical, reasonably priced or exaggerated. As long as the two most important people are having an enjoyable time, that is all that matters. Forget about the constant worry of planning behind at the wedding and just take pleasure in the honeymoon.

Bridal Shower Party
As a bride to be, you must want to share the joy before the wedding with your closed friends or/and relatives. It is time to set a date for bridal shower party. There are few things that should be considered to have a nice bridal shower party:
1. Somebody should be in charge of this bridal shower party. Usually the bride's maid will be responsible and shoulder the party. However, assuming too much is not a good idea. That is why a responsible person and sponsors for the wedding shower should should be clear.
2. Guest list. Responsible person should consult groom and bride for the guest list for the wedding shower party. A common thing to do is to spread the invitation by word of mouths. However, a proper wedding shower invitation could be great. A cute bridal party cards could be used to set the mood of guest list before coming to the party.
3. Themes and Games. A party would not be memorable without proper theme and games. This could be the tedious part to make sure that all guests will enjoy attending bridal shower party.
In the end, your guests might not know each other, so make sure there will be a person in charge to introduce new comers to all the guest. Name tag could be used but it is not necessary. A good ice breaker game is better for them to know each other.

FIND EASY WAYS OF REDUCING THE COST OF YOUR WEDDING
Most of us look forward to getting married for almost the whole of our lives preceding the event and therefore have almost every specific detail, starting from the dress to the flowers to the cutlery the music and even the menu etched out in our minds. Unfortunately, when the time comes to finally turn these dreams to reality, practicality checks in, knocks us on our heads and reminds us of exactly how many dollars we have in the bank account!
Unlike what it used to be in the good old days, the modern day parents have learnt to ease their way out of bearing the financial burden of their son’s or daughter’s wedding. The logic used in this case is quite infallible really, most of us wait to tie the knot long enough to bear children, teach them how to walk and start helping them with their math homework. So, since we don’t do our share therefore the potential grandparents don’t do theirs. So finally when it comes to our wedding we are left out in the cold, joining bits and pieces of our earnings to build up the most important day of our lives.
For all of us who are bogged down by this sudden astounding realization, or the ones who will get similarly bogged down in a not so distant future date, here is a list of the average costs that you will have to incur in order to get married. Once you have the groom (or the Bride, as the case maybe), which tends to be the most expensive of the purchases, you are sure to save up enough to have a glorious wedding ceremony.
First up, flowers. Believe it or not, at any average wedding ceremony flowers can cost anything around or even above $800! Yes yes I know what you are thinking, you are probably itching to remind me how they finally add to the grandeur and emotion of the whole ceremony, but cap your outburst because ultimately this will probably be the one area you can cut your expenditure down in. If your budget is tight try something creative, scan issues of bridal magazines or the net for ideas.
Photography/Videography also takes up a large amount of your budget. Based on the kind of mementos you would want to keep from your wedding day you can end up spending anywhere between $900- $2500. Even though you probably think it’s a good idea it is best to not try and cut down your costs here, cause these will after all be one of the only things you will have to really re-live your wedding at a later date, and if saving a few dollars means you will end up looking like a fat hag or be ill-lit in your own wedding photographs then there is no point being a complete Scrooge about it.
Now if you are having a wedding ceremony, you will have to send out those few essential invitations, announcements and then the thank you notes, so there is no getting around the few hundred dollars it will set you back by, but you might try. Coax a friend with neat handwriting to take this load of your shoulders, get her to write your invitations for you, and keep it simple, so as to trim down the overall costs.
Finally of course there is the music. No wedding is complete without good music setting the right mood for the celebrations. Set apart about $1500 to fulfill your musical requirements.
Further costs include the price for the site of the ceremony. This you may safely estimate at around $400. of course you will also have to arrange for means to get to the site itself, this should cost around $450, all together. If you want to show your appreciation for the attendants with a little token of love, set apart another 400 bucks. The rehearsal dinner, which you must have, will be around $1000, the reception anywhere between $5000-$8000.
Expect your super special wedding dress to cost at least 1000 bucks and even if the groom settles for a rented tuxedo there is no getting away from the neat $500 you will have to flash out for it. So all in all, everything put together, added and multiplied, you have a whopping $25,000 bill tagged clean with your plan to get married. If marriages are really made in heaven then the God’s sure have expensive taste! However this isn’t by any means the final word in planning your wedding cheap, there are of course thousands of other ways of cutting your expenditure as per your personal means and fancies, this is just one of the very many ways of going about it. Figure out what suits you, and have a great wedding.

CHOOSING YOUR WEDDING FAVORS JUST RIGHT
Wedding favors are the unacknowledged little treats which drag a number of unwilling parties to ceremonies they absolutely detest. A number of little kids, who are too young to dab their eyes when the vows are taken, but too old to pee on their mother’s lap during the process, are enthusiastic about weddings primarily due to the favors. Same goes for most grandpas and grandmas, let’s face it, these guys have seen far too many weddings to really want to sit through another, their mind therefore hovers off often to the little favors they will be receiving soon. ‘What will it be’ they wonder while the bride swears her undying love ‘Candies? Bubblemakers?’ they rack their brains in silence.
Given the expectations therefore, wedding favors are a must for every ceremony. Too many hearts stand a chance to be crushed if your wedding doesn’t end with one. So be rigorous while choosing your favors in order to make sure that they are just right. Here are a few pointers for you to consider;
1. Innovation – remember your wedding will probably turn up only once…or well twice….in your entire life time (that is, if you aren’t Elizabeth Taylor of course, but I give you the benefit of the doubt), so you wouldn’t want your guests to go back home with a gift which they will stack up with 20 others just like it somewhere on the floor of their closet. Make sure your favors are unique and in some way reflect you, your spouse, and especially your special day. Keep it connected to the theme of your wedding party or make it personal and give a compilation of your favorite songs. A number of people also gift their guests napkins embroidered with the bride and groom’s names. So take your pick.
2. Expenses – weddings are expensive, so you wouldn’t want to add an extra expense in the form of wedding favors. Choose gifts which you can make yourself to save money. A candle for instance is an easy and inexpensive gift which can be made right at your home, personalize it with ribbons and sparkles to give it a unique look and see how it is appreciated by all.
3. Planning – no matter what you choose to send your guests off with make sure you choose it early on. Like everything else in your wedding favors need to be planned for before making purchases. Take your spouse's opinion regarding the gift you have chosen. Remember it’s their special day too and in case you end up gifting people something he/she doesn’t like it might become a sore subject in the years to come. Consult your friends in case they are helping you out with the wedding. Make sure to have purchased or made your gifts at least two weeks before your wedding. Keep them packed and store them in a safe place to avoid any breakage or spoiling.
Your wedding is a special day for you so make sure your wedding favor reflects that. Remember to keep it simple, stylish and unique and ensure that they are packed beautifully. A great wedding favor will make your wedding a memorable affair for all, but especially for those little guys and the oldies who come to weddings just to know what the favors are….

A GUIDE TO WEDDING PLANNING SOFTWARE
Let’s face it – a wedding is nothing short of a most complex thing to plan. Planning for a wedding is not an easy thing to do – unless you decide to just pay a visit to the register office or make a scheme to run away with your chosen groom. But if you are game for a fairly big, conservative wedding then you would need to keep track of all the functions and ceremonies so that the wedding is done on time.
There are quite a few individuals that you will find now who have made it their profession to plan weddings for people. That is how they earn their bread and butter – every day. It is not always possible to hire a person to help you out with your marriage plans, but it is one of the best solutions ahead of a wedding. The rates of a professional planner of weddings could be as high as 10% of the cumulative cost of the marriage. Hence many couples would rather take the planning on themselves than rather spend so much on a planner. The best thing is that today you will get numerous softwares in the market that can help you out without the necessity of a wedding planner.
The first thing you would need to see in the software that provides guidelines for a wedding plan is a calendar. A calendar will not just be a feature with which you can check the dates – it’s more than that. The calendar that you will get with the software should help to notify you about important functions. Generally the notification would be accomplished with e-mail alarms.
Furthermore, if the cell phone that you carry delivers the service of text-messages, then you can also receive your email notifications on your cell phone itself. This is indeed a great boon of modern technology.
In a wedding planning software programme, you should also find a procedure of how to arrange all the different tasks because at the time of wedding there are so many important events happening together, that you must learn how to coordinate them all. After distributing all the invitations for the wedding, you should also be able to know without difficulty who has replied and who is still left.
Then again there will be many other tasks to attend to than just the main ceremony. The wedding reception would also demand many definite arrangements to which you must look into. A wedding reception requires proper arrangements for seating, and your software must give you the necessary guidelines. Then there are the gifts. Your family and friends would undoubtedly flourish you with many gifts and you would have to send out thank you notes to all of them. The wedding planning software should be able to accommodate your requirement.
Looking into the financial aspect, along with tracking and scheduling, is one of the most important parts of a wedding. It is true that complex stuff like Peach Tree or Quick Books would perhaps make things difficult and on the other hand you should have a firm control over your budgets so that you do not go overboard and after the wedding end up with empty hands.
A further benefit that you can derive from such software is that it features custom stationary that you can put to use at the time of your wedding. This is an added advantage since it would save a lot of money that you can put to use somewhere else. A software application that has this element would generally carry templates for guidance for designing invitations or any other item of stationary that you could perhaps need for the wedding.
A search engine like Google is also one of the most intelligent methods of finding out software for the planning of a wedding. Here you will come across numerous choices from free to least expensive web based wedding planning services to ready to use software like Smart Wedding that can work on your personal computer. You must know the relative benefits of each service – because free does not always translate into good, and also you should know what you want exactly and how the software can fulfill that need. There are so many of the wedding planning softwares that you would absolutely hit on the right one for you, then your wedding would be an enjoyable experience without much hassle, to look forward to.

Once you send your wedding invitation letters, you might find many people are asking how did you meet each other, when did you meet, where did you meet, and other intriguing questions. At the beginning, telling all those flash back are fun. But when you are repeating them for more that 5 times, it becomes time consuming already.
That is why nowadays, many couple put their "journey to the wedding" online. This will inform whoever interested to read or view your journeys together until the wedding day. It could be a memorable site as well for you to keep for the rest of your life.
You might think that putting all those online is a difficult tasks. Start from choosing the right webhosting until develop the web itself. Do not worry. Traditional Wedding Theme
As much as most couples want to budget their wedding, some couples can not avoid the fact that they should held additional wedding ceremony with traditional theme based on the traditional customs on where the couples from.
If you held additional traditional customs wedding, it is recommended to have them on the same day with your receptions. This will reduce the cost because you can negotiate with the venue owner to have the venue for the whole day for you. Aside from the venue, you can have the decorations for both occasions.
However, you have to make separate invitations and a break between two occasions. This break is important to clear up the room and give ample time for the guests to leave and have the cleaning services to clean the area for the next occasions. Break will give time as well for the couple to rest, freshen up, or change clothes if necessary.

Pre-Wedding Pictures. Important? YES!
For those of you that have look around for wedding photographers, you might notice that the package often include pre-wedding pictures. If not, better to ask the photographer to include it as well in the price. Do not underestimate your pre-wedding picture because it can save you some money, time, and memorable shots!
Save some money? How? Pre-wedding picture can be your wedding decorations in your chosen wedding venue. It will be better if you have the pictures that could depict the story on how both of you met each other. If you do not have the old pictures, you can recreate them with the help of you wedding photographers. These pictures could be put in the entrance of your wedding venue and will surely attract the attention of the your wedding guest to give a little bit introductions about your love journey.
Saving time and having memorable shots because you will have a picture as a couple in your relaxed time prior to your wedding day. I have seen a lot of wedding picture in the wedding day have bad results because the couple have tired and some of the make-ups have little bit smeared because of tears, sweats, or even kisses on the chick with wedding guests.

Pay attention of discounted Wedding Place / Venue
With regards to my previous post entitled "Choosing a wedding venue – Categorized into 3 wedding venues", I would like to add that some wedding venues offer discounted for certain memberships. This kind of permanent discounts often do not mentioned when you inquiry about the venue. Sales people usually only remember of the on-going promotion or discounts.
This happened to my friend just recently when he wanted to book a wedding venue. The sales man kept on telling about the on-going promotion that my friend can avail if the wedding food caterer is coming from their partner's company. After a careful read on the brochure, my friend found out that a member of retired government military officials could obtain as much as 20% discount on the published rate. My friend confirmed it to the the sales man, and he seconded the motioned. The sales man said that he usually did not speak about this discounts because his potential clients were seldom a retired government military official.
Having this in mind, my friend went home and contacted his relative who is a retired government military official to do a booking. Well, it saved him 20% of his wedding budget. Good deal! That is why when you try to book your wedding place, try to ask all the discounts available. Read their brochures carefully to detect any discounts that the sales man / woman might miss.

Choosing a wedding venue – Categorized into 3 wedding venues
Wedding venue in general can be categorized into 3, namely:
1. OWN venues. This is where the couple will host the wedding on the places that no need to pay for the venue. A common example is parents’ or relatives’ house. By default, these kinds of venues can save up your budget for wedding. Just take note if the venue can hold enough space for your wedding guests.
2. PUBLIC venues. Public parks, gardens, or beaches are considered public venue. In most countries, this could be a “budget” solution for wedding venues. However, you need to check if permits or licenses are required before holding your wedding in public places. Set a side enough budget to process the permits to your local government. Aside from its budget venue, public venue is a great place to express yourself in unconfined atmosphere of a wedding.
3. RENTAL BASIS venues. This type is a common choice of the couple because it offers privacy and environment that the couple can choose from. There are a lot of places like auditoriums, club houses, country clubs, conference centers, convention centers, hotels, houses of worship, mansions, museums, resorts, hall, stadiums, yachts or cruise ships, and many more of places that you can thing of. Using rental basis allows you to think freely about the wedding theme that you want to apply on the wedding venues. Cost of wedding venues could be vary depending on the size and popularity. Some are even already fully booked for weekends for the whole year ahead.
Based on the categories above, couple should sit together to decide the wedding venues based on your wedding budget and preference. A common misperception is that to have OWN venue is always cheaper in term of total costs for the whole wedding costs. It is NOT always true. Wedding venue cost is only one of the costs of wedding budget, you might get a free venue but you need to order or prepare yourself for the food and decorations. Some RENTAL BASIS venues are often offering package for venue, food, and decorations so that you could save more for the whole cost of the weddings.
To avoid any misleading, try to make a list of your wedding costs in details. Compare each of the costs if certain wedding venue is selected. The most important is try to make your wedding planning as fun activities. For “soon to be” brides, if making a notes in a colorful note are fun, please do so. Do not stress out to much with the preparations. In the end, the wedding should be a joyful and memorable event of your life.

What's the budget menu for Wedding Food?

Wedding is such an occasion, where you invite all your very close friends and relatives and they all need a special attention. It is your duty to take care of their food and the entertainment when attending you wedding. The main thing which comes to our mind is the good food and some entertainment for these relatives and friends.
Good food is always the way to keep you friends and relatives happy on your wedding, but good food is not necessarily means the expensive food. For example you can serve the lobster and steaks which are most expensive dishes in the world, and also can present chicken, fish and other simple meat to make your relatives happy and it depends upon a good chef to make a fish as tasty as lobster. So it will be great to appoint one good chef for your function rather spending a lot on the expensive food.
Entertainment is very important part on the wedding as well, because you invite some people who don’t know any one else in the wedding other then you and you can not give all your time to only those persons. So it is better to play some music or like that for entertaining those people. A recorded music can be best choice at such time as live bands take too much money. So when you enjoying music you need whiskey or wine too to serve. So choose only those brands which are cheap because after two or three drinks every whisky becomes same.
Food and entertainment have done, but another important aspect is the Venue for the wedding. So choose only such venue which can fit to your gathering. Not a big one or not to small, and important thing is to choose the venue which is easily reachable, well maintained and comes under your budget.

Think Twice on Your Wedding Photography and Decoration
Wedding means when two souls meet each other, so every person who marry to His/Her soul mate wants to keep those memories forever. The best way to keep those memories for your whole life is through pictures and movies, and you can remember these days with those pictures and movies anytime. But spending more then enough on this thing is simple useless. If you have few pictures of your wedding you can watch those with your partner anytime and it will give you a pleasure to watch those pictures, but if you have some big albums you even wont try to pick those, and in this way you can not enjoy it, because in this fast moving life no one has that much time to watch big albums or 7-8 hours movies.
Everyone likes to spend some time with his/her partner and enjoy some light moments with 20-30 pictures. I am not saying to go only for 20-30 pictures, but go only for that much which you can easily watch in your spare time and enjoy that. If you watch the big albums only thing which will come to your mind is, “why did I spend that much on these pictures?” So you can not enjoy those things. It is better to plan those things in advance.Secondly as I wrote it is a great occasion for the couple who is going to marry, they would like to make it even wonderful with their friends and they spend a lot on the decoration of venue with flowers, presentation of food and crackers in the sky. Most of this means just throwing your valuable money in the dust bin. People hardly take a look on the wedding decoration, no one care about that after 10 minutes or so, so go for the cheap flowers, if possible ribbons, avoid crackers as this will give you joy for just few seconds and it also pollute our environment, do not go for big lighting decoration as it is nothing more then the use of electricity and a heavy bill.
Now a days weddings become the good outing for every one and as most of the people are professionals and everyone want to spend the time with their friends and want to talk about new ideas of business even on the weddings. So there is no use to spend a lot for those people, who came here to discuss matters, not enjoy the wedding.

Unique Wedding Gifts

A wedding planning could be a tiring and stressful process for couples who want to get married. Strangely enough, for couples' friend, finding a "perfect" gift could be a tiring and stressful as well. I am sure that you want to give something that is really unique for the couple. You try to avoid the common wedding gifts because it is not personalized that you will never know that another guests will give the similar gifts.
Even nowadays couple appreciates wedding gifts in term of money/cash, you still want to give something tangible for a memory right? Let me show you one site that provides unique wedding gifts. Personally, I like the signature platters because this is something that you and your friends can cheap in for a group gift, while giving cash for individual gift.
For other products like photo quilts, you can give a gift certificate in case you do not have a nice photo of the couple. They will use the gift certificate and choose their own photo they like.

Find your long lost friends for you Wedding Guest List

Have you been in situation that you promised your friends to invite to your wedding but you find out that you have lost his/her contact due to some reasons? Maybe you can try to find it at People Search.
I personally seldom use other SE aside from google. But with People Search I can find people easily because the site is dedicated to look in people profile across the sites, social networks and other online communities. I am a bit surprise as well when I inputted my mom's name and it returned a good result even tough my mom is never putting any of his name personally in any sites. Well, to begin with, she does not know how to open PC by herself.
Just spend a little time on it before you finalize your master wedding guest list draft. This will make you less worry about forgetting anyone to invite in your master list. In the end, they could be opt-out after you finalize the wedding guest list. But you know the reasons of not inviting them and it is not because you loss his/her contacts.
